X Lazy F Ranch Pt1

Well here it is! Pt 1 of our camping trip. Not all of the photo's will be posted immediately, as I have to save some photos, so I have something to put up on the blog. Anyway, here is part one.

We had an excellent rain the other day! Almost a half an inch! I'm trying to get through the massive amount of photo's I have, so I just posted the best.   

I don't know which one I like better, the cooler toned one, or the warmer tone one?

Sunset, Gators and Smoke Clouds.

Well, we're back from camping! It was so fun! I got to meet a lot of new people, and make a lot of new best friends! I'll write a bigger post I don't know when, but I will. These are from quite a bit back, but I need to get through them.

This was the smoke cloud, from the the fire, as you probably all know. It was so awful, cool at the same time, seeing a huge smoke cloud like that.

New Chickens

It's hard to believe that this Sunday we're going camping! I can't wait! It should be a blast! 

I know some viewers, would rather not see anymore animal pictures, but I posted this one because this chicken is unique ;) Here is the picture for today! 

Wheat fields.

Today I might be picking up my guitar case! It will be nice to know I have something to put my guitar in to protect it, and not have to worry about it getting damaged at every turn.  

The other day, I was out with my mom, near Strasburg Co, we passed a wheat field that looked like gold, and of course, I had forgotten my camera ( I know, ahh! ) I was so bummed, so I took pictures on Moms iPhone they aren't the best, but they're decent. I hope to get them post-processed soon. On our way back home, we saw a sign that said "Road work will begin after harvest" we wished we could have taken a picture of it all, but it wasn't all there at one time.

Valley.

Looks like I won't have work for a while yet... I just found out that my boss has nothing for me to do. So I'll be home for the next few days...maybe weeks :P Ah well, it will give me time to practice my guitar.

I got a little welding time in with a man who's teaching me. The welder he let me use, was really cool! It was a pretty fancy one, compared to the one I have.

Chasing Chickens and Flowers

Yesterday, we kept having escaped chickens! I knew I had put them in the yard the night before, but when I saw them out, I started to doubt myself :P I had to put them back in twice. They are the slipperiest little chickens! One of them climbed up the wire, flapping it's wings to get away from me, so it wouldn't get caught. I have to fix the fence in one spot, so they won't proceed to do it again.  

On Friday, I went down to the music store to get a case for my guitar, and what you least expect, they're out! So I ended up ordering a case, it should get here either Tuesday, or Wednesday.

I spent a lot of time yesterday learning a song on my guitar called "You Raise Me Up", which I am slowly, but surely, getting the hang of. I'm not quite used to barre chords yet, so its a bit difficult, but I'm getting there.

Anyway, here's my picture for today.

Trees and Storms

Yesterday, we had a really good rain. It was so cool before the storm though. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures :( I was helping cover up the garden, just in case there was hail. The clouds were really dark in the background, and there were some light gray clouds just in front. directly above, there were dark clouds as well, but with some spots that had this luminescent blue, sort of glowing through it. And at the right and left side, there were some swirly, really stormy looking clouds, as if we were going to have a severe thunder storm, it was so surreal. And of course the wind was blowing really hard, if you closed you eyes, the way wind sounded, you would think it was snowing outside.

We got about 1/10" which doesn't sound like much, but as dry as it is, that's a really good rain.

Camping, water Jets and Canon 70D

It's hard to believe it's already July! Time flies so fast... in a couple of months, the leaves will turn yellow, red, brown, orange, russet... it will be great for pictures! We'll be going camping in a couple of weeks, so I should return with lots of pictures! The place we're going is really pretty! So I know, there won't be shortage of photos! 

Today, I had the privilege of seeing how a water jet works (for cutting metal). It uses a sand called "garnet" and then combines it with water and shoots it out at such a high pressure, that it can cut a piece of 1/8" aluminum in no time at all. It was absolutely amazing to see how it worked. 

Yesterday, I brought home a nice set of shelves from where I work, that should help with the garage a lot! It looks almost practically new! I can't wait to get it set up. 

Also, Canon came out with a new camera called the "70D" from what I read, it sounds a though they combined a lot of good features in this camera. Looking forward to the full review!
